2. It appears to me that under any further changes in the law are in contemplation it would be advisable to consider whether the
existing Ordinances dealing with sanitary questions might not with advantage be consolidated. There appear to be about fifteen such
Ordinances, some at least of the provisions of which
are still in force.

I would suggest that a good Ordinance might be prepared, consolidating
all existing provisions for the constitution and the forms of the Sanitary Board: and the functions of the Medical Officer of Health.
4. I do not desire to press this suggestion but I should be glad to hear your opinion on the proposal.
